set of double-strand beads In The Style Of, or I.T.S.O. 

Barbie's PAK "Teriffic Twosome"

Strand is inch for inch the same size as the vintage item, but 

MiKelman's version is one better with smaller-scale 

green glass Miyuki beads from Japan, and hand-cut 

white bugle beads that are scaled just a smidge smaller

than the vintage original.

Everyone knows that when it comes to dolls, scale is important.

MiKelman strove to recreate the original 1960's Japan hand-beaded necklace

with as much faithful attention to the original, but yet he made

the necklace just a bit smaller in scale so as to better

measure against the miniaturized size of a doll, while retaining 

the overall length, colors and look of Mattel's vintage necklace.

To the naked eye, the difference between the vintage Japan and this modern

recreation made with contemporary Japan Miyuki beads will be negligible, but you will appreciate the finer detail and smaller scale of MiKelman's modern Barbie-sized double-strand necklace!
