Here is for sale a stunning NX650 ready for TET or desert adventure. I bought this bike 4 years ago to travel to South Morocco to cross some of the Sahara desert. I had the front and rear suspension upgraded and the performance in the dunes was incredible. The bike is well capable of travelling long distance and very light and agile compared to those big and heavy BMWs or KTMs. The engine sounds like new. It's got an Arrow Dakar stainless steel exhaust with matching manifold, electric and kick start for peace of mind, this is the Japanese 88 version of the NX650, not the later Honda Italia version which in my opinion was not as quality as the first ones.
The front suspension is from an XR600 with thick bars and an excell front rim with stainless spokes. The hub and disc are of an xr600 as well.
The rear suspension is a Hagon shock, this is a proper enduro suspension set up
The Baja lights give the bike a nice rally look. Together with the acerbis 23 litre long range tank, you can be on the bike 250 miles without stopping. The mileage is around 50K. Difficult to know on a 36 years old bike. I know it had a clock change at some point.
There are other bits and bobs that I haven't mentioned. The bike has been used so it's got marks and patina, don't expect a new looking bike.
MOT until September this year and comes with a ULEZ certificate so you can ride anywhere in London without paying any charge
I m selling it because I have another project going at the moment and I don't have much space
Very reluctant sale, please don't make silly offers. Only genuine buyers should contact

Update: I have taken the bike to have an engine rebuild with new piston rings, new cam chain and tensioners, new valve seals, new spark plug, engine clean, new oil and filter. They have told me the clutch is in good condition and doesn't need changing. I have received offers but after all this work I need the asking price. The bike will be ready for collection from 31/05/24 as I am now going on a trip to Morocco in my other bike. This one is still in the garage until I come back
