 You are looking at a vintage 1984 Electro Voice model DS-35 dynamic cardioid microphone that comes with an E.V 311 model mic clip. This rugged classic microphone was made by E.V in the U.S.A for almost 30 years before being discontinued and was a high quality model used for several applications.

 

Pic # 2 is from an old E.V advertisement showing this very model as well as a few others and the mics basic specs and technical characteristics.

 I have been told by several singers who have used both the RE-16 and DS-35 that they actually prefer the sound of the DS-35 better. I believe the DS-35 has a flatter response than the RE-16. This is a great mic for toms / drums as well.

 The E.V DS-35 is a light weight microphone set at 150 OHMS (Low impedance) and it has a smooth, warm tone that's excellent for broadcasting as well. This was basically an RE-16 model mic without the bass adjustment lever and a flatter response.

 It's also uni-directional picking up only your voice directly in front of the screen and cancelling out unwanted background noise. The DS-35 is one of the better uni-directional mics I have personally heard.

 It has a stronger signal when using the cable with the male 1/4 inch. The XLR to XLR cables just don't work as good. Nothing some good gain won't solve though. Again, it has a much stronger signal when used with a 1/4 inch cable.

 I don't know the first year this was introduced but it seems to have started production in the late 1970's to the early 2000's before being discontinued. 

 The chrome screen is very nice with no dents or tarnish. The painted body shows just very lite wear. Zero dents or fractures but there are some scratches here and there. The E.V label looks great and completely legible.

 It should be noted that this mic has the new upper and lower foam inner liners. These inner foam screens greatly help with the acoustics of the mic as well as keeping the lower screen steady. The foam is in great shape and will last for several decades to come. The foam / pop filter cuts down any unwanted feedback due to wind or breathing. If you buy any used DS-35 you'll have to replace them as they are all in terrible shape. I do all this for you so you have peace of mind that your mic is 100% up to par.

 The mic measures 7 1/2 inches long and 1 3/4 wide at the screen. Very light and versatile. 

I'd give the mic a solid 7 + physically on a scale of 1 - 10. The real beauty is that sound it produces. The mic takes a standard XLR cable which is not included. 
                                                                                                                                                             The Electro Voice 311 model mic clip is also included and it fits the mic firmly allowing for a wide range of tilt up and down. The clip will screw on to any microphone desk or floor stand. The clip has the adjustable tension via side screw.
 The clip is in very nice physical condition as well.
