Dear Collectors,

Without a doubt, Playboy magazine is the most iconic publication of the 20th century.
Here is Playboy August 1979. Officially graded by CGC at 9.0. "Off-white to white pages".
This issue features Dorothy Stratton as Playmate of the Month.

Any serious collector of Playboy Magazine needs to focus on the 1950s.
A solid collection would be from 1953-1956 in higher grades.
Value will be seen through 1964 as circulation numbers increased significantly after that.
CGC grading points drop significantly after 1978!
A key turning point is the last stapled issue in 1985. Magazines are not real magazines without staples.
All issues after 1985 I have thrown into the dumpster-including the late 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s-all garbage. Instead of those, go out and try to find a great copy of November 1972. Good luck, pal.
At the end of the day, what matters most is the first 15 issues of Playboy, so you better have those in a high grade.
1986-2020 is extremely questionable as to their long term value. These are for the masses. If you are betting on Trump, Seinfeld or Anderson you are going to be very disappointed.
