A rare extremely beautiful and impressive large English solid sterling silver chalice. It is hallmarked for London 1960 with the maker being FY. It has been superbly designed being hand planished and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, lightly gilded inside. There is a small Latin engraving on the underside of the base rim, easy to remove. It is large measuring approx. 6.5 inches (17cms) tall by over 4 inches (10.2cms) across the rim by 5 inches (12.5cm) across the base and weighs 438 grams. A very good quality impressive piece.
