This fusee pocket watch was made in London by Edward Wicksteed. The movement appears to be in great overall shape. The chain is fully intact. It ticks when wound, but the balance staff may need refitting. It maintains its original inner case but the pair case has long since been lost. The case was made by George Harrison in Goulston Square, Whitechapel, in 1767 which is a great way of getting an accurate date on this particular movement.
This watch was used to demonstrate how early watches worked for visitors in a Living History Museum in Massachusetts.
