ABOUT THIS BOX

This vintage music box is unique, beautiful, and sounds amazing! The box is from Arte Intarsio in Sorrento Italy, a type that is highly collectible. The charming Italian country style of the box is smartly contrasted by sophisticated, beveled glass panels. The hand painted box was signed by the artist and numbered underneath (#298). Complementing the stunning appearance, the box plays a tune from Rachmaninoff tune that sounds AMAZING!

The glass panels allow a full 360-degree view of the internal mechanism. The world-class 3/72 movement is made by the Swiss craftspeople of Reuge and is highly-desired. The movement is clean and shiny. It winds up smoothly and works perfectly. The mechanism switches effortlessly between the songs. The music starts and stops at the end of the tune via a slider along the front edge.

Lift the lid for a louder and more bold sound.  The tune played is exceedingly rare. It is highly intricate and sounds beautiful. This music box plays:

CONDITION

The case is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. The structural condition of the box is perfect. The beveled crystal is pristine.  The wood is excellent and there are no notable flaws. Please see the pictures for beauty of this piece.

The musical movement was inspected and cycled. It was gently cleaned and properly lubricated to give years of enjoyment. The sound quality is EXCELLENT. A+ quality.  There are NO instances of resonance that can occur in vintage boxes. The sound is loud, rich, and clear. I always include a video so there are no unpleasant surprises.
