Newest generation. I have included 2 photos of my puppy's teeth marks.😒 They don't affect the function or reading experience on the kindle, just a slight blemish. It also includes a case(I'm going to see if I can find more cases)!

I didn't use this kindle so I'd say it's rather new and should still be under warranty. :)
