This item is a Micro-Trains MTL N Gauge 1:160 Scale Special Run "Girls" NYC New York Central Gondola, 6462-500, in the original lexan box with custom Postwar Memories blue and orange paper insert. Car was made in the USA by Micro-Trains, carries road number 6462, is NSC 06-125, and was released in December 2006. Car is brand new - never run and no signs of handling or use. This car is a component of the Postwar Memories Series, a companion series to Lowell Smith's 6464 Collector's Series special run series which replicated Lionel box cars from the 1950s. These cars were produced in very limited numbers, and are very hard to find in today's market. Compatible with all N gauge brands: Atlas, Athearn, Kato, Bachmann, Broadway Limited, Buford Shops, Fox Valley, InterMountain, MiniTrix, Arnold, Walthers.  Original MSRP $34.95

**Note about the term, "Girls Gondola": In 1957 Lionel made a "Girls Train", featuring a pink steam engine and tender, purple hopper, pastel yellow box car, mint green box car, baby blue caboose, and this gondola in pink with blue graphics. Because NYC was already part of Lionel's gondola series, this car became known as the girls gondola to designate it from more prototypical releases.
