Martin / 000-28 [Standard Series] [S/N 2725338]

Small scratch special price / Scratch near the 2nd fret on the treble string side on the back of the neck

A super standard model with an OOO size that is easy to hold!

OOO-28 was born in 1902.

At that time, it had a 12th fret joint, and the NECK was made of two pieces of cedar wood.

At that time, parlor-sized guitars were the mainstream, and only five OOO-sized models were produced as an experiment.

However, from the mid-1920s, the popularity shifted to models that required a larger body, and in 1934, the specification was changed to a 14-fret joint.

After that, the era shifted to the mainstream style of dreadnoughts, and by the end of the 1970s, only custom orders were available.

Meanwhile, after the guitar god "Eric Clapton" played the OOO-42 unplugged, the popularity of the OOO size skyrocketed! !

In 1996, Eric Clapton's signature model "OOO-28EC" was released, and the popularity of OOO-28 increased in an instant!

Starting with the specification changes for D-28 in 2017, the specifications for 000-28 were also changed in 2018.

Made in the USA, Nazareth Factory

The body is entirely made of veneer, with Sitka spruce on the top and Indian rosewood on the sides and back.

The top uses an aging toner and has an amber look to give it an old feel, and the top trim has a "herringbone" design! And the pickguard has a tortoiseshell pattern!

Bracing has been changed from non-scalloped Standard X bracing to "scalloped X bracing"!

The BODY BACK has a stylish checkered back strip.

The BODY has a glossy gloss finish for a luxurious feel, and the NECK uses a satin finish for excellent playability.

The traditional dovetail NECK joint and diamond volute are a must-have for Martin fans!

The neck shape has been changed from Low Profile to Modified Low Oval, and the nut width has become slightly wider.

The pegs have been changed from GROVER rotomatic to open back butterbean knobs.

The position inlay on the fingerboard has been changed from a simple dot to a diamond & square inlay.

The response is good, and everything from tight bass sounds to overtone-rich trebles resonates comfortably.

The scale of D-28 is 25.4 inches, while OOO-28 is 24.9 inches. Recommended for those with finger picking style! The wide sound created by scalloped X bracing is also attractive!
