Canon FDn f2.8/28mm MF lens, filter, caps, EXC working cond (see test photos)

The f2.8/28mm lens in the new FD (FDn) mount was first marketed by Canon in 1979, succeeding 2 earlier versions in the FD breechblock mount.  One of several wide angle lenses in the FDn range, the example listed here was made in 1982 and is supplied in its original box with original Canon caps (the front cap marked for the 1980 Winter Olympic Games) and a Hoya UV filter.  Should you wish to seek it out, the correct Canon 'bayonet fit' lens hood (NOT supplied here) for this lens is the BW-52B.

This lens, no.650579, made in Japan, is a manual focus f2.8/28mm wide angle lens, Canon FDn bayonet mount, with automatic diaphragm control ('A' setting on the aperture ring), aperture range f2.8 - f22.  Focus range 0.3 metres - infinity.  52mm filter thread.

The lens optics are clean and clear of marks, haze or fungus.  Focusing is smooth and sharp: the unedited test shots in photos 15-21 were taken with this lens plus adapter mounted on my Lumix MFT camera.  The diaphragm operates across the full range, the blades are unblemished.  Cosmetically the lens is in quite excellent condition.
