- The Belle of the Ball
- Size 15 - approximately a modern size M
- Shown displayed on my size small dress form, and it’s pinned for photos.
- This 1950’s / 1960’s era formal prom dress is one of the most amazing pieces i’ve ever found. It features layers of chiffon, a cummerbund style satin belt with a 3d appliqué rose, and a textured lace bodice that looks like flower petals. The bodice is a boatneck style, with wide straps. It features a full skirt, floor length maxi length, with a built in petticoat. The back is the classic victorian inspired bustle style ruffles, on either side, in two panels.
- This could also work as a costume, or cosplay dress as it’s very princess / little bo peep. There is a metal zipper up the back.
- What makes this special: This dress has never been worn. It is new with tags, as shown. Also, this is a rarely seen size that is wearable by modern standards. It could easily be taken to a tailor and made moderately smaller or larger, as there’s a good amount of seam allowances in this piece.

- About the brand: American Heritage brand of formal and wedding dresses founded in 1933.
- Condition: New with tags, unworn and unwashed. Some issues to note: See photos for small tear in the chiffon near the bottom of the hem. There’s some overall yellowing, which most likely will come out with dry cleaning. The satin has some fading / color change from age. It’s deadstock, meaning new, but there is some dust from storage.
