PLEASE READ THE LISTING IN FULL!

I HAVE NOW HAD THREE TIME-WASTERS PURCHASE THIS NETBOOK, AND THEN IMMEDIATELY ANNOUNCE THEY DIDN'T READ THE LISTING AND DEMAND THEIR MONEY BACK BEFORE I EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO PACK IT.

THIS COSTS ME PAYPAL FEES EVERY TIME!

THE NETBOOK WORKS, BUT IS LISTED AS FAULTY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS

  • There is no charger included with this sale - just the netbook. Chargers are available on eBay for less than £10, or less than £5 if you're willing to wait for shipping from China. (I used my own personal charger to test.)
  • The battery does not seem to hold a charge (charging light keeps flashing), so a new one will be required for portable use.
  • Along with this, the CMOS/RTC battery appears to be very low or depleted and if the netbook is removed from the charger, it sometimes throws a CMOS error on restart.
  • This means the CMOS/RTC battery probably needs to be replaced (or spend 20-30 seconds after restart manually setting the clock in BIOS as a workaround). It is not an issue while the netbook has power (a working main battery with charge or plugged into the mains).
Please don't purchase expecting a perfect netbook without adding the bits mentioned above. Specifically, please don't buy if you have no idea what a CMOS battery is!

Asus EeePC 1011PX netbook

White - Windows 10 Home 1909 -

320GB HDD - 1GB RAM

The netbook originally ran Windows 7 Starter, but I have upgraded to Windows 10 Home, which is fully activated so you won't get the endless messages to activate!

Note that, with the latest Windows 10 updates becoming more hardware intensive, the laptop is struggling a little, so a Linux distro might be a better long term solution. For this reason, I offer no guarantee for Windows 10 performance on this device as you may find it sluggish and laggy.

The laptop is in OK physical condition (although some of the plastic surrounds are looking a little worn in places).

Note that this is a netbook, and as such has a small screen, small speakers etc. Don't expect a cinematic experience! Netbooks have their uses, but don't expect it to be something it was never designed to be!

Many thanks for reading!
