The doll is made of paper or heavy white stock with paper hair and hat. Her clothes are red and gold brocade fabric. The photos don't do it justice.
The tag inside the cellophane sleeve reads
Viet Nam. However, her clothing appears to perhaps be Japanese -- so I am unsure of the proper assignment. I found some references to Viet Nam producing similar items of various ethnic costumes.
Package appears never to have been opened and is at least 20 years old.
A very nice collector's item.
