For sale is an HO scale Athearn Southern Pacific SD40T-2 diesel locomotive with short nose. The locomotive is updated with extra detail such as plow, lift rings, and mu hoses. The locomotive still has the factory Athearn Southern Pacific paint job but the locomotive was renumbered to #8282 to match the prototype (because factory 8382 was not a short nose).
Both front and rear have operating Kadee knuckle couplers. The locomotive is DCC equipped with a Digitrax DH123 mobile decoder (No Sound). The locomotive is still using the factory front cab incandescent light bulb. This will work in forward when turned on via DCC. There is no reverse light. The locomotive moves well in both directions. The DCC address is set to the cab number, 8282. Also includes original blue box and factory assembly sheet.
