An original Naval General Service Medal with clasp Palestine 1945-48. The medal was awarded to C/KX 97146 J. R. Amiss. P.O.S.M. R.N.

I believe this Sailor was John Richard Amiss and his service number would indicate he saw service during WW2. Could be very interesting to obtain his service record.

The Palestine clasp was issued to men serving in the Royal Navy Palestine Patrol against illegal immigration and gun-running.

A fairly scarce clasp with only 7900 being issued.

Sadly the suspender is loose and does detach from the medal. However, this is repairable.
