Vintage Wecker Wind-Up Tin Can Peg Leg Alarm Clock for Restore / Parts / Display

Up for bid and for your consideration is a vintage Wecker wind-up, tin can, peg leg, alarm clock.

This clock would be great in a vintage home or for anyone who likes vintage clocks! To you clock collectors it would be a wonderful addition to your collection, ready for restoration!

The details:

This clock measures about 6-1/8 inches tall to the top of the ring, about 4-1/8 inches wide and about 2-1/4 inches deep including the keys.

It has a white paper or paperboard dial that has light age blotches. It has stylized black Arabic numerals. It has an outer chapter ring made of dashes that represent the minutes, with a heavier dash at the 5 minute intervals.

It has black colored spade shaped hands and a black colored alarm set hand. The alarm set ring mostly covers the 12.

The face is marked "Wecker" over the center post of the hands

The "tin can" case, I believe is made of tin! It attracts a magnet. It has silver or chrome plating. The plating has crazed pretty much overall on the top half of the case and is not quite as bad on the bottom half. The case has a fair amount of oxydation on it overall.

Its case rests on the table then is kept from rolling side to side by means of two peg legs.

The back is stamped with patent dates in a small circle. It reads: "Pat'd. Oct. 28, 1902 May 15, 1906 June 4, 1907 Dec. 15, 1908.- Pats. PDG.". The back is also stamped "Made In U.S.A.". There is also a date scratched into the back: "1/15/16". Maybe a maintenance date.

The winders and set knobs are all present and there is a fast slow slider to regulate the speed of the clock.

The clock tries to work, it will run for a few seconds then stop. It is wound tight. The alarm works. When you turn the hands to the set time it will ring. Both could probably use a good cleaning.

Please understand that this clock is being sold "As Is" with no warranty or guarantees. Any clocks I sell are vintage and likely needs to, at least, have the movement cleaned and /or oiled. In the case of non-working clocks, such as this, I do not know if the movement is complete. I also have no way to know how the clock is handled upon arrival. For these reasons, I do not accept returns.

Cosmetically this clock is in really used condition, it has the amount of wear to give it "the look". Or you could restore it, and it would look great!
