1842 10c US Seated Liberty Dime - 90% Silver

1842 10c US Seated Liberty Dime - 90% Silver

The Seated Liberty dime is a coin that was minted in the United States from 1837 to 1891. It features the image of Liberty seated on a rock on the obverse side, and an eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse side.
The design of the Seated Liberty dime went through several modifications over its long production period. The early versions had no stars on the obverse, while later versions included stars around Liberty. The reverse design also underwent changes, including variations in how the eagle was depicted.
These dimes were made of 90% silver and 10% copper, giving them a beautiful appearance and making them highly sought after by collectors today. Their value can vary depending on factors such as condition, rarity, and historical significance.
