Able to plant together or plant up in pots to make individual trees.

Approximately 720 bare root plants.

Each stem is around 30-50cm above root.

Perfect time to get in the ground.

Planting a mixed hedge improves biodiversity, supports wildlife and creates a hedge with features of interest all year round.
Mixed hedges are typically 50-70% hawthorn with 4/5 other native species planted amongst it. Our recommended planting for hawthorn hedging is 9 inches apart in a single row or 12 inches in a double row with other varieties planted in clusters of 2/3 randomly spaced in thorn hedge so that they slower growing plants get space to grow.

Plants are bareroot. Bareroot season (November-April) is when plants are dormant and not actively growing. This means plants can be moved without being potted (saving costs). Plants are still alive but can be stored for a week or two before planting if kept in cool conditions with their roots damp and covered.
