 You are looking at gorgeous Astatic 10D dynamic microphone from the 1960's with it's aluminum Astatic badge and comes complete with it's original F-11 adapter. This was a good quality "general purpose" microphone and was an affordable alternative to some of the more sophisticated dynamic cardioid mics of that era.

 Pic # 2 is from an old advertisement showing the mics basic characteristics.                                                                                                                                                                           After 50 + years of use this 10D still has a perfect working signal and set at High Z. It can still be used for basic events and it would make a killer harp mic due to it's distinct sound. This would also be a perfect addition to any vintage mic collection because of it's almost perfect physical condition. They just don't come any nicer than this.

 This was intended as general purpose mic being great for basic broadcasting and dispatch purposes. Makes a great HAM radio mic and excellent with a harmonica. Very capable as a harp mic.

 This 10D model had that classic elegant, deco look that was very popular in the 1930's to 1950's before the design lost appeal and was eventually phased out all together. Far more classy than flashy. They certainly don't build these mics like they used too.

  This unit has been thoroughly tested and cleaned. As you can see there are just a few tiny spots of pitting on the front grill that is hard to see even from a foot away but the rest of the body is almost perfect. One of the nicest examples I have ever offered for sale on Ebay or Reverb and the black screen is free of any holes or rips. The joint mechanism works nicely and allows for a smooth sliding adjustment. The Astatic F-11 adapter is in very nice shape and included. Comes with standard 1/4 inch detachable connector for use with most modern audio equipment and all guitar amplifiers. The cable is 5 feet so you shouldn't have too many problems on reaching your audio equipment if it's on a desk nearby. The cable is soft, pliable and free of any cracks.

 The Astatic F-11 adapter with cable will allow you to screw this mic onto any American microphone stand.
