**BROKEN HORN” style Sterling Silver mounted Breast Collar !!
INCREDIBLE vintage, originally purchased in the late 1970’s or early 1980's, well taken care of top to bottom!
Full of un-marked sterling overlaid silver. The largest conchos are 2-1/4” in diameter. Next largest are 1-9/16”, then 1”ers. The buckles are 1-3/4” wide by 1-5/8” long……26 pieces of silver hardware altogether !!
Total width of collar is fully adjustable on both sides, but currently 55” approximately. Length is also adjustable but currently 22.5” roughly.

I’ve had several questions about the conchos, and all I can say is they are old. They are period to when this breast collar was made. There are no stampings, and unlike nickel or german silver, it took a bit if elbow grease to get these cleaned up. Some could be solid sterling, but are more likely overlay. I have no way to test them, so let the photos speak for themselves. This is a stunning vintage piece, that photos do not do justice.
I added some more photos, of the two different style of conchos removed, to show the age on the leather, but also that these do not appear to be german silver, you can even see where the larger concho was acid tested. The buckles also, appear to be engraved, NOT stamped. This is NOT a cheap knock-off, this breast collar is very well done !!
