This is a nice looking and high end men's suit by Brooks Brothers in the 1818 Madison Fit line in a 44L. This is the higher end BB suit that uses special selection Estrato by Trabaldo Tonga 1840 of Italy wool.

This suit was custom finished for the original owner at the local Brooks Brothers store so please check the size and compare.

Please verify the measurements below.....thank you.

This suit is made of a nice 100% wool by Trabaldo Tonga 1840 in their Estrato line made in Italy for Brooks Brothers. The elegant Italian wool is done in a charcoal gray pinstripe design. It is a great looking material...... please see the up close pictures for the best example of this wonderful suit.

It is a 2 button single breasted coat with 4 buttons on the sleeves. The jacket has a single vented rear. It is fully lined and features 3 interior pockets. This is the 1818 Madison Fit line by BB and features this on the interior label as well as the extra Estrato label as well.

The pants have a pleated front, a button with a hook and bar closure with an inside button front, side seam angled waistline pockets, they are lined in the inside pant leg, and have 2 buttoned rear pockets. The lining is done in black and they are clean and free of stains. The pants are finished with a 1 1/2 inch cuffed hem with the material folded inside allowing one to professionally lengthen if needed up to about 3 1/2 extra inches maximum using a strait hem finish. They are labeled as a 39 on the interior size tag but are actually now a 37 inch inseam. The pants also include extra belt loops to be attached if the pants were ever altered, and they are in a plastic bag as seen in the photos.

The measurements for the jacket are as follows:

CHEST = 46 1/2 inches around the chest measured under the armpit area around the outside of the coat. We measure the coat around the outside circumference like it was being worn by a person. We do NOT measure laying flat.

SLEEVES = 36 inches from the center of the back neckline to the end of the cuffs, 25 1/4 inches from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuffs.

TAIL = 32 inches from the BOTTOM of the collar to the end of the tail hem in back

SHOULDERS = 20 1/4 inches across the shoulder from seam to seam

WAISTLINE = 44 1/2 inches around the midsection of the outside of the jacket at the bottom button which is about 9 1/2 inches up from the bottom button. We measure the coat around the outside circumference like it was being worn by a person. We do NOT measure laying flat.

The pant measurements are:

WAIST = 37 inches around the inside of the waistband. Laying flat they are about 18 1/2 inches across the waistband. There is about 2 extra inches of material to widen if needed. They are labeled a 39 on the inside label so they were made smaller to a 37, but can be enlarged once again.

LENGTH INSEAM = 30 inch inseam measured to the end of the pant hem with about 3 1/2 inches of extra material to lengthen as needed.

OVERALL LENGTH = 42 1/2 inches long from the waistline to the end of hem

RISE = 12 1/2 inches.

LEG OPENING = 9 1/2 inches wide at the pant cuff opening

This Brooks Brothers 1818 Madison men’s charcoal gray pinstripe suit is pure quality. Knowing it is made with a nice high end Italian Trabaldo Tonga 1840 wool, in a great color and pattern, it will be a loved suit for many years to come.

Overall the exterior of the suit looks very wonderful. It is not perfect since it was worn, but it was only worn for a couple of hours in total. It can’t be perfect as new, but there isn’t anything that would not make you proud to own and wear this great suit. I see some minor loose interior threads, but it doesn’t effect wear at all. Not a big deal at all, and the suit is in very nice condition overall.

The pants interior lining is clean and without any discoloration or stains. The exterior material on the pants is in great condition as well.

This Brooks Brothers 1818 wool suit will be a great addition to any mans wardrobe for many years to come.

Please check the measurements listed against your favorite fitting suit to be sure of size since models and designers can vary greatly. We measure the coat around the outside circumference like it was being worn by a person. We do NOT measure laying flat.
