Paperback edition of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (Scholastic paperback, 61st printing) with reversed inverted embossing. This significant error encompasses the following major aspects:

• The embossed “Harry Potter” part of the title runs upside down across the bottom of the back cover, as does the promo “The Extraordinary New York Times Bestseller.” Harry Potter obstructs part of the barcode area.

• “J.K. Rowling” runs inverted across the top of the back cover.

• Additionally, the text on the spine is also inverted with Rowling and “Year 1” upside down and both the title and Scholastic face the opposite direction of non-error editions.

• The front cover is missing all of the embossed text, which instead appears on the back cover as described in the points above.

The interior of the book appears to be printed as normal and contains all the correct pages.

Condition: Errors aside, the paperback is in very good condition. No writing or stamps. Clean pages. Tight intact binding. Some scratches on the front cover over Harry and above him. Some wear, chips, dings and creases along the edges and corners. Top right front cover corner has a small crease. Also some wear on the embossing, including the title. Otherwise, a very nice copy of the paperback.
