My goal with the pictures that I post is to provide you with sufficient visual evidence so as to leave nothing to your imagination, and to make you feel like you have the watch in your hands to examine.  If I fail – please let me know – and I will post additional images to meet your needs.  Now, let’s talk about this magnificent 121-year-old “survivor”.

First you see a front and rear view of the pocket watch showing that it’s been well taken care of and not mishandled.  Next you see four pictures of the sides of the watch showing how well the front and back of the case fit to the case body.  Next I removed the bezel and crystal revealing the white dial with black Roman Numerals depicting the hours.  Next is a picture of the maker’s name followed by a picture showing the seconds dial and the slender blued hour hand.  Next is a picture of the reverse side of the bezel and crystal.  Next are pictures of the movement showing all of the engraved writing on the movement gilt finish plate.  Lastly are close-up pictures of the balance wheel and regulator.  I bought this watch a while ago with the intent to learn pocket watch repair and restoration.  As it turns out I have never found time to start that learning process so I’ve decided to let you learn how to do it.  Here’s your chance to buy a SEVENTEEN JEWEL Waltham pocket watch to start your learning restoration journey.
