For sale is refurbished Antique Victorian Toilet Paper Roll Music Box. The carving is beautifully preserved with very little signs of aging. No water or critter damage whatsoever. We certainly felt this one was a candidate for a full restoration. We refurbished and restored it to full functioning condition. (Please Watch Provided Video).
The music box itself was off-kilter to the base and was missing two of its four mounting wood screws. We disassembled and cotton-swab-contact cleaned as well as high pressure air cleaned the interior. We re-lubricated the mechanism with thinner viscosity Singer sewing oil. Singer oil has less of a propensity to gum-up and become sluggish over time compared to 3-in-1 oil and other common household lubricators. We also replaced the two missing screws to the back plate (see photos).
