A. Fontaine Metal Albert System Bb Clarinet - Rare

This is slated to go into the shop for a full overhaul and repadding at the end of this month. It is offered here for anyone who may have interest in buying it in its present condition.

Metal Albert System clarinets are very rare. The A. Fontaine brand is made by the famous French maker Cousenon, and so it may be likely that this clarinet was made by Cousenon.

No major issues,only minor wear, however a repair is needed for the thumb rest (it has been badly bent - see photos).

This has been in disuse and needs all new pads. It is not playing well in its current condition.

Thorough cleaning and oiling is needed.

No mouthpiece, no case.

The photos were taken in strong light so it may not be clearly noticeable, but the keywork is bare brass and the body is silver.
