DESCRIPTION:
Gorgeous Classic Mens Rolex Tudor wristwatch in excellent Working Order and stunning condition c1961.
This is definitely an example for the collector for many reasons:
1. It’s immaculate condition, please see photos. It really has been very well looked after over the years.
2. The watch has its original inner box. This particular box is a much less common and more sought after Tudor box design and has a classic look. The burgundy coloured box really does have the feel of a luxury Rolex item. Signed with the golden Tudor rose on the top of the lid and also signed ‘Tudor by Rolex Geneva’ on the inside of the box. The box opens and shuts nice and tight and the hinges work perfectly. The lid clicks securely into position. The button works perfect.
3. The watch also has its original outer cardboard box which is a real rarity! It is also in very good condition for its age. This is also signed ‘Tudor by Rolex Geneva’ on the box with its Tudor Rose.
4. The watch also comes with its original Rolex Tudor guarantee booklet and also its Rolex instruction / care booklet. The purchase receipt information is on the final page showing that it was purchased in 1961 from Bravingtons Kings Cross London who were official Rolex dealers.
5. The watch also has its original Rolex signed crown with the embossed Rolex Coronet logo which is very crisp with minimal wear.
The Case
The case is in excellent condition and hallmarked 9ct Solid Gold on the inside case cover for Birmingham 1960/61. (Please see photos for condition). The high quality case is signed ‘ROLEX’ and is made in England by the famous Aaron Lufkin Dennison (A.L.D) case-maker who were agents for Rolex in England at the time of manufacture. The watch is also hallmarked on the back of one of the lugs.
The watch case back has a service inscription on the back from the world renowned Royal Doulton! This is a great piece of English history and watches with this inscription are few and far between. Of course if you prefer to remove the inscription then it’s easy and cheap enough for any competent jeweller to do.

The Movement
The Tudor movement is in very clean condition and is in perfect working order keeping excellent time! The high quality Shock Resisting Tudor calibre 2422 signed manually wound movement. It is of course signed Tudor and 17 Rubies/jewels and Swiss.
The Dial
Gorgeous dial design! The golden dial is again in immaculate condition and oozes class. Signed Tudor Royal with the Tudor Rose above and signed ‘Shock Resisting’ and ‘Swiss’ at the bottom (see photos). Beautiful golden lume filled dagger hands and sweep second hand perfectly matching the golden applied numerals and lumed hour dots. The lume of the hands and the hour dots aged beautifully and matching. It really is a stunning example.
The diameter is 33mm not including the crown.
The watch is fitted with a new Italian luxury padded calf stitched leather dark brown strap with gold plated buckle which really looks the part and compliments the Rolex style perfectly.
The watch also has its original Rolex signed crown with the embossed Rolex Coronet logo which is very crisp with minimal wear.
The watch looks even more stunning when you have it on your wrist!!
This is a great opportunity to purchase a true classic Tudor Rolex watch which will only increase in value due to its provenance, its maker and its gold content.
