Vintage Cartier Bresson Haberdashery Shop Display/Storage Cantilever Cabinet for Embroidery Cottons.Good solid condition box, fully working cantilevers; there is some wear to the varnish on the wood due to age. I have cleaned and waxed the whole box inside and out, so it is ready to use.
This box was a shop counter top display and storage for cotton embroidery skeins.
The 'windows' on the top levels are made from a heavy duty plastic that is firmly glued in.
The cantilevers function really well; one of the two side pulls in leather has broken off, however the remnants are still screwed in and could easily be replaced with a small bit of similar leather.
Included free with the box are the embroidery cottons pictured, but please note they are very old and some are quite faded in patches, so are not particularly useable for fine embroidery, but as they came with the box when I acquired it, I thought they should stay with the box and they look pretty!
