Chelsea Maritime Commission Ship’s Bell Clock

I am selling this clock for an aging parent.  I am not an expert and will not embellish any details that I am not sure to be true.  If you are looking at this clock for your collection, I will assume you are the expert.  Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my "minimal" knowledge.  I would rather not disassemble any part of this clock and risk screwing up a perfectly operational clock.  Perhaps you can appreciate that.  

6” WWll U.S. NAVY Chelsea ship’s bell clock with KEY

... Serial # 390014 ... Dated 12/29/1943 ... 

This clock keeps perfect time, winds correctly, and chimes softly every hour and half hour.  

Door lock and hinge function as designed.  Door glass in excellent condition.  

Dial and hands are original and in near perfect condition.
