Lot of 39 antique buttons dating from the Victorian era. Includes 12 black glass 11 with cherries at 5/8 in. each across, 1 black glass with gilt and a horse shoe at 3/4 in.,12 decorative metal buttons with various designs; the largest acorn metal button measuring 7/8 inch, 3 medium metal buttons at 3/8 in. and 8 small metal buttons at a smidge over 1/3 in.,13 mother of pearl buttons including one sewn stack of six with a carved starlike design measuring 5/8 in.,1 plain flat white MOP, 4 two hole MOP with mottling to the pearl shell at 5/8 in. each and 2 very small MOP with brass insets each measuring 1/4 in., 1 small floral enamel and brass button measuring just under 5/8 in. and lastly a large 1 inch china stud button hand painted with a four leaf clover painted by Walter Wilson, a well known Meriden, Ct. 19th century artist. All in very good condition. They have seen use on early clothing with a minor flaw here and there but all remain in very good condition.
