These are the older cast aluminium versions of the tool holder (new versions are sheet metal) and are a 2-part tool holder.  The formed wire-frame top assembly slots the FM-2024 desoldering handpiece in and the cast aluminium lower has friction-fit slots that the top insert into.  Easy to clean design - you pull the top formed wire assembly for easy access to the bottom.  The top heat shield can be further disassembled from the wire frame with a standard Phillips screwdriver if desired.  These Phillips screws also allow for limited position and angle adjustment of the handpiece dock.

OLDER VERSION NOTE: this older tool holder version does not have a plug in the back for those who use that feature.  It cannot plug in to communicate if the desoldering tool is docked.

Does not come with sponge or brass wool holder (though those are quite cheap and easy to get).  Missing rear 2 stick-on rubber feet.  You will receive the exact unit pictured.
