For sale is a Longines Conquest, reference 1500-5, with a manual wind cal. 706. In very good overall condition for its age, it comes in a cushion or c-case that was a common design in the late 1960s and 1970s. A time only dial with applied markers, thick baton hands, and central seconds.

Reference: 1500-5

Movement: Cal. 706, 17 Jewels, Manual wind, 36h hours of reserve, 21600 bph

Year of production: 1975 (based on serial number)

Width: 35.5mm (without crown), 37mm (with crown)

Lug to lug: 39mm

Thickness: 9mm

Lug width: 16mm

Crown: Signed Longines

Crystal: Acrylic

Condition

Overall the watch is in very good condition. Dial has tiny spots visible under high magnification, but nothing major. In the wrist it looks basically flawless. Applied markers are clean with the original lume pots intact. Hands have slight discoloration with lume intact. Lume is tritium so it has lost its charge long ago. Acrylic crystal has a small crack near the 11 o'clock mark.

Case has normal signs of use for a watch from 50 years ago. The only noticeable sign is a dark mark on the side next to 9 o'clock. I believe it can be polished away, but that's something that the new owner can decide if it's worth the trouble. It can be easily noticeable in the fifth photo and is about 1.2mm wide. The case back has some light scratches but nothing major.

Movement looks quite clean for its age. Winding is a bit stiff, most probably because it needs a service. Time setting is smooth.

Additionally, please check the photos carefully and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
