JEWEL OF THE MOTH WITH SKULL

The refined Pendant is an original, luxury, and exclusive Jewel handcrafted by Amira Munteanu Bergman for this it can be considered a small work of art, a unique piece of which there will never be another perfectly identical.
Its heart a moth butterfly in polymeric clay shaped and painted by hand with a gold decoration in bas-relief embellished with some pearls drop.
At its center there is a small three-dimensional sculpture of a skull painted gold.
The back of the Bijoux is in turn embroidered with a bas-relief in golden floral style.
The wings of the butterfly end with drop beads and golden beads and two long white tassels.
The Necklace is worn by means of a golden brass cable chain closed with a small golden carabiner hook.


ART DECO COLLECTION

The work belongs to the Collection inspired by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Belle Époque of the Marquise Casati, a great muse of all the artists of his time, known for its exceptional and extravagance.


SYMBOLOGY
Despite the fact that moths are fundamental insects for the survival of various ecosystems and for the multiplication of many plant species, as a result of their physical characteristics, they have always been the subject of false beliefs, myths and legends. 
Having a purely nocturnal life and a dark colouration, they have been considered insects linked to the devil, a tangible manifestation of evil and seeing one, even today, is considered an unequivocal sign of bad luck or of the presence of Satan.
Associated with witches, owls and black cats, popular tradition has treated their existence as a symbol of a magical and disturbing world making them an insect to be afraid of. 
Only Native Americans have always regarded them with great regard, as synonymous with adaptability, survival and transformation. 

Other symbolic elements forming the Jewel are:
