  • Collects Thor (1962-1996 1st Series) #337-348. Collecting the legendary issues of Thor by writer/artist Walt Simonson! Thor has always been one of Marvel's toughest assignments. Producing adventures of the Norse thunder god is an intimidating task, making the travails of Asgardian heroes interesting to a modern audience. But that didn't stop Walt Simonson! Defying convention, the writer/artist threw all preconceived notions out the window and over a two-and-a-half-year span produced epic adventure that held an ever-growing readership in thrall. From the golden spires of Asgard to the sweltering streets of New York City, the entire pantheon of the gods was re-imagined through Simonson's powerful images, becoming more contemporary while also retaining their mythic, regal trappings. Now, Surtur, Beta-Ray Bill, Malekith, Loki, Odin and the thunder god himself storm to life as we collect Thor #337-348 in one mighty book!

I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These novels are in good to very good overall conditions, all with solid spines and excellent overall inside pages (photo#18, 19, 20 examples). They each have 1 or 2 lighter cover indents/creases around, with otherwise primarily lighter signs of wear, all of which mostly affect their externals. Due to eBay's photo limit, with lots involving multiple books, I am not able to show the detailed looks I try to maintain, so if you would like any extra photos of a specific description/book, feel free to let me know! The TL;DR versions of each book's condition below is in italics, with the more in-depth collectors' paragraphs below them.

Any reference to certain areas of books can be seen in the photos above. The sections are:

I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots. If you have any questions or would like any additional photos, feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs - either message me before completing purchase for a pre-payment price adjustment, or alternatively I can provide a refund afterwards. Thanks, and have a tremendous day!
