Don Luther Lee (b. 1942; a.k.a. Haki R. Madhubuti) Black Arts Movement poet, educator, activist, and founder of Third World Press, the nation’s oldest and largest Black owned publisher. Madhubuti is one of the great voices of Black poetry to emerge in the 20th century and the most significant advocate and theorist of Black self determination since Malcolm X. In 1967 he debuted his first collection of poetry, “Think Black.”
