Rare Australian Large Uranium Green Sewing Oil Lamp
Greek Key Pattern Depression Era 1920/30s

This is an very rare large and scarce heavy Greek Key Uranium clear art deco Oil Lamp.

These Oil Lamps were made in the Depression era 1920's and 1930's and are nearly 100 years old. It glows strongly under a UV light.  In the Depression days these Lamps were used in factories and homes for sewing.

There are two sizes in the Greek Key pattern lamps and this is the large version, not the small one.
The Oil Lamp measures 7 inches or 17.5cm in diameter where the oil sits as well as across the base
The font measures 21.5 inches or 54.5cm in circumference.
From the foot to the top of the metal wick measures 11.25 inches or 28.5cm high.
The flue measures 10 inches or 25.5cm high.
The complete Oil lamp is 20 inches or 51cms high to the top of the flue.

The Oil Lamp is in good condition for its age, there are no chips, cracks or repairs.  There are a couple of smooth mould lines on the lamp, but these are not cracks or damage, they were made in the glass when it was manufactured.

The flue is in good condition.

These Oil Lamps are getting scarce, you do not see them anymore, they are good if you run out of power or if times get tough.  I have never used this Oil Lamp, it has only been on display.

Have a look at all the photos to see the lovely colour and condition.

I know what it is like to get broken items and feel bitterly disappointed when they are not wrapped properly. I will double box this lovely green uranium Oil Lamp to protect it, and make sure you get it in the same beautiful condition it is in now. I always send by registered mail with a tracking number for your peace of mind.
