The Moomintroll Moomin figurine, handcrafted by Leo Tykkyläinen (1919-1984) in the 1950s and 60s were exclusively produced for Stockmann department store, in Helsinki, Finland, under a license granted by Tove Jansson in 1956. Approximately 15,000 figurines were meticulously crafted, featuring various characters in different color variations. Leo Tykkyläinen's association with Arabia began in 1964, marking a transition of the Moomin figurine license to the company. The Tykkyläinen Moomin figurines, including Moomintroll, were only sold between 1956 and 1964.
