Complete 6-volume set of History of the Jews by Heinrich Graetz.
According to the Preface "This translation, in five volumes, is not a mere excerpt of "Geschichte der Juden" but a condensed reproduction of the entire eleven volumes. Footnotes have been omitted. The last volume, number VI, contains a survey of the entire history of the Jewish nation, together with a comprehensive index of the names and events."
Covers are worn on tops and bottoms of spine and gold gilt has faded. Some have spots.
Interior pages are brown but are securely bound.
I'm not sure of the copyright date. The title page has a date of "1939-5699" under the publisher's name which doesn't seem like a date.
The next page lists the copyright date as 1891.
