1751 Colonial American Indian Token Nice

This is one of the better examples of French jetons, being directly linked to America. It is Betts 385, struck in copper, and measures about 28mm. This specimen is the original strike with plain edge. The copper has that reddish tint. When the inscription reads, "COL FRANC DE L'AM" (Colony France in America or French Colonies in America), and illustrates an American Indian holding a bow, you can bet your last dollar this issue was intended for North America.

We have a nice smooth piece here with decent color and surfaces.
