Hello. Up for consideration is a Vintage Original Dietz Monarch Red Globe Lantern made for the Boston Elevated Railway.

Looks all original showing signs of use but I don't see any broken or missing parts (I don't see any breaks or cracks in the globe). 

Marked/embossed on top "BOSTON ELEVATED RY" with 1/4" letters.

The metal Lantern frame is very solid/firm/strong/square/symmetrical and I don't see any dents  or other damage (a magnet sticks to the frame).

The Globe is very well secured within the lantern and does not move or wobble in any way. The top and bottom rims of the globe have some slight chipping and there is some soot/discoloration inside.

Fount cap unscrews and screws back on quite easily and the lantern looks very clean inside (see photo 6).

Bail/handle works properly.

Lantern has excellent overall color/patina, design and clear legible embossed lettering that would display nicely. 

Lantern frame stands about 13 1/2 inches tall with a 6 inch diameter base and the globe stands about 6 1/4 inches tall.  

Comes from my late father's Railroadiana collection of over 50 years.
