Mohamed Al-Fayed, born on 27th January 1929 in Roshdy, Alexandria, Egypt was a businessman whose residence & main business interests were in the UK from the mid-'60s. His businesses included ownership of the Hôtel Ritz, Paris, and Harrods department store & Fulham Football Club, in London. Fayed's wealth was estimated at US $2 billion during 2023, the world's 1,493rd richest person. Mohamed was married to Samira Khashoggi from 1953 to 1956, the couple having a son, Dodi, who was in a relationship with Diana, Princess of Wales, when they were both killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
