High-quality, fast and rare 85-year-old 8cm portrait optic, German Empire, 1937.
With both original bakelite caps, inside with green velvet fittings.
Exakta mount, which can be easily adapted for almost all common modern
connections via an adapter. Both optically and mechanically there are no defects,
the focus and aperture work well and regularly. Solid brass tube.
There are some tiny bubbles in the glass, as was the case at the time due to the massive
glass (6 elements) and manufacturing process.
Hardly any inclusions, no fungus, no noticeable scratches other than
very fine cleaning marks (seen under a magnifying glass),
very slight concentric haze on the second lens, which cannot be seen
with the naked eye. No oil on the panel. Everything is working. It`s beautiful.
Very good imaging capabilities with a particularly nice blurring area ('bokeh').
Large image circle that even covers GFX medium format without vignetting
(see example image, last image).
