From my late fathers collection.
I try to provide as full and honest description of the items as I can.
I am not an expert, I will be happy to try to answer any questions if I can.

Please study the photos carefully, as they form part of the description.

Sorry about the long video, I cannot get short ones accepted by eBay.

I was planning to list the running locomotive with the tender as a runner.
I decided to change some fixings that were obviously incorrect..

The body was secured to the chassis at the front with a slotted head screw through from the top, and a large nut underneath.
I saw on other listings that the body should be secured by a thin black square headed screw that fits nicely into the square recess by the buffer bar.
I found a new square headed screw in the box of assorted fixings, that looked exactly right, and I decided to use that, so I made a slotted brass shoulder nut to use with that screw.

The front 'truck' was secured using another long slotted screw with a brass spacer in the truck mounting hole, and a nut used as packer making up for the long screw length. I found a better length screw, and made a stepped brass washer that locates in the truck hole and the screw head sits against the larger washer head. I imagine there should be a steel shouldered slotted head screw, but I settled on this as an improvement

I then noticed that the screw fixing the rear 'truck' was not tightening, the thread was almost completely stripped in the alloy chassis.
The screw is fitted, but only holding on a couple of threads.
I looked at the second chassis, which I am including in this lot, and saw that the rear truck on this chassis was located over a boss that has a thread within it. A screw and plain washer being used to hold the truck in place.
Looking at the chassis with the stripped thread, that surface had been filed, and I wondered if there had originally been a boss on this chassis, which had been cut off at some time.
I see the thread (6BA) in the chassis, is very close to the edge of the aluminium wall, by the motor area.
Also, the truck from the incomplete chassis has a slightly larger mounting diameter to the 'running' chassis truck, they are not interchangeable.

At this stage I decided to stop working on it, and offer all of the parts of both locomotives as spares or repair, rather that maybe drilling and tapping the hole deeper.

The wheels on the incomplete chassis appear to have been drilled where the motion rods fit on.

I considered it may be good for someone to remove those wheels, and use the parts from the 'running' chassis to rebuild the incomplete chassis, to make a good one with a secure mounting for the rear truck.

There are some differences in the two chassis castings, you can see from the photos.

Also, the body from the incomplete loco has the 'Type EDL2' cast into the underside surface of the cab, the running loco body does not have this identification. This body doesn't have the running numbers, and it has some blue paint marks on one side.

I have not found the second front truck, so there is only one in this lot.
Also there is only one tender.

I will post to UK mainland only, and I will combine postage for multiple purchases where possible.
Will be packed carefully to avoid damage.

Thanks for viewing my listings.
