Gorgeous Heavy Antique Wooden Oak Splint & Steel Ribbed Tin Lined Bottom 18" Gathering Orchard Farm Basket
18" Wide at the Rim and 14" Tall
Metal Ribs are Steel, 4 are welded to the interior bottom tin liner and then wrap around the top oak band
The handles are heavy rope
All appears to be original
Tin Bottom liner is dented
The basket is very unusual - not sure of it's intended use, but I would guess apples or potatoes
there is wear finer lateral weaving - this seems as expected from age use and handling - see photos
Metal Straps are all good - with just rust as expected
