Epidendrum porpax (peperomia) is native to Colombia and Venezuela, and found in the woods of pines and oaks, where it grows on trees at an altitude of 600-2700m. This dwarf reed stem orchid, is a warm to cold growing, epiphyte which forms large mats of clustered succulent fleshy leaves, perfect for a mount, and may flower at any time of the year, usually twice a year, with handsome, long lasting, large flowers for the size of the plant, 2.5-3 cm in diameter.
