This is an upgraded 2011 2.2GHz Intel Core i7 (quad core 8 thread) 15inch Macbook Pro. The power supply is included.

It has a 240GB Western Digital SSD and (just like the 2015 Model) 16GBs of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM. The logic board has also been removed and cleaned and new thermal paste applied to the CPU.

Mac OS Sonoma has been installed using the excellent Open Core Legacy Patcher. The faulty AMD graphics chip Apple supplied with these Macbooks has been disabled in software and so the Macbook is using the Intel integrated graphics built into the CPU. This is not what you want for graphics intensive applications (or Garage Band for some reason) but it's fine for general computer use.

NB: Disabling the faulty AMD graphics also disables external display capability so do not buy if you need that..

The display is in excellent condition with none of the staingate issues of later models and the keyboard is also very good.

Unlike current Macbooks, this one uses easily replaceable batteries, RAM and SSDs and I can also customise the Macbook to a certain extent with higher capacity SSDs, at extra cost if required.

NB: The original HD securing mounts have been lost in the mists of time so I am just using foam pads to keep the SSD in place (see photos). This works perfectly fine since the SSD weighs a fraction of what the original HD did and the foam also ads some cushioning that the original solution did not.
