Here for sale is my super original Mk2 Golf Gti 8v. This golf is in outstanding condition inside and out to say the car is now over 30 years old! The car is totally original it has never been painted anywhere on the car which is very rare on one of these cars, especially a red one as they always go pink. It has its original dealer plates from new all the standard glass and the original two keys which fit all the locks other than the petrol cap. Underneath the car is super solid having no rot anywhere l have had all the plastic trims and sideskirts off and even around the arches it’s pretty solid only with a bit of rust round each of the holes where they rivet on. Suspension wise it has mostly been re-done the previous owner renewed all the bushes, hubs, wheel bearings, brake callipers and cv joints.I have then added to this by changes all the shocks, springs, top mounts,bump stops and dust covers,it is a bilstien and eibach setup so it does sit slightly lower than standard.having had all this done to the car it is incredibly solid and positive to drive and not all loose and sloppy like some other ones I have driven. Engine wise it is a similar story having everything done when it needed it so runs amazing and dosent smoke at all. I have had the head rebuilt and skimmed with all new gaskets and hard wear, all new cooling system including fan,radiator,thermostat,coolant tank and radiator switch. It has also had a new alternator and starter motor. I have replaced a few gaskets here and there where it was leaking oil which was an advisory on the last mot. Another thing it has had is a recon gearbox with the same code as standard one which is ACD these gearboxes are rare and desirable as they are the shortest ratio fitted to a mk2 gti. The interior is immaculate to say that it is 30 years old with the seat bolsters holding up well with no holes. I have just fitted a new headlining this month as the last one was all sagging also the car is currently fitted with a pioneer radio but will come with the original vw beta stereo. The car comes with an amazing history with invoice totalling over £15,000 over the years.the original service book and most of the v5’s from all the owners.I have owned the car for the last two years and used it as my daily driver it’s great fun to drive and surprises some modern cars.but it’s time to sell as I have got a new daily and have no room for this and will be sad to see it go. It has an mot till December and has been serviced this month. Any questions welcome.
