Replacement coolant Tank Sensor, I have made these myself so they are not perfect in appearance however they work very good as I have tested these in my own car and sold many. I have used the original ford sensors which have failed, after time the float goes brittle and lets water in causing the float to sink and keeps the dash light on.
The sensor comes with a 3mm rubber seal so no need for the original coolant sensor grommet and has resistors inbuilt in the wiring so ready to go.
Does not come with plug so you must connect your old plug to the wires on the sensor after the Heatshrink where resistors are located!!!
- To install sensor:
- 1. Remove Old sensor and attach the connector to the new sensor as no plug is included.
- 2. Remove Old grommet from coolant tank
- 3. Install new sensor and tighten up ring until tight, plug in sensor
- 4. You can test sensor out of tank, when you open sensor in empty water condition the light on dash will take aprox 30 sec to come on to stop false readings, when you close sensor to full water position the light will immediately turn off.
