ROYAL Air Force Bomber Jacket
COCKPIT USA Ex AVIREX
Based on the 1938 Irvin Airchute Co. pattern/design, this jacket was the symbol of the Battle of Britain.
British RAF fighters and bomber pilots wore this superb garment when they were repelling Nazi planes over London in their Spitfire fighter planes.
This bomber jacket had to be very warm, but also allow the pilots and crews to be comfortable, free in their movements to fulfill their mission as best as possible, in a very small space that was their plane.
This Royal Air Force jacket is made with hand-cut soft American furs and sheepskins.
Some details have been added, such as a zipper along the cuffs, leather strips on the seams, leather belts, underarm gussets, an interior storage pocket, and a front zipper with a puller in leather.
On the front, you have a pocket on each side which allows you to keep your hands warm: This feature was added by Cockpit in order to best meet current needs.
Available in brown.
Luxurious item, high quality, honors American know-how.
