Here’s a rare (1948) RCA Model 63E record player that was the last self-contained 78 rpm record player produced by RCA. The following year saw the introduction of the 45rpm record format. The first 45 players offered by RCA took their styling cues from the 63E. This Art Deco style or Industrial Modern design is portable with clean geometric lines. The retractable tone arm also functions as the on/off power switch and the volume control knob is hidden beneath the tone.
